Spicy Stovetop Shrimp

Easy shrimp recipe for the RV stovetop. A little bit spicy with a delicious sauce; serve over some basmati rice for an easy meal.

Equipment

  • Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 1-1/2 lbs wild-caught shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp grass-fed butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 small white onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp white wine
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Pat shrimp dry and place into a bowl. Add flour, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, cayenne and sugar. Toss to coat shrimp.
  • Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil. Stir in onion and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp and cook 1-2 minutes.
  • Add broth, wine and lemon juice. Cook for 5 minutes or until shrimp turns opaque.
  • Serve over cooked basmati rice.

Notes

This is one of our favorite recipes when we have to cook indoors. Or even when we don’t HAVE to cook indoors!
