Fruit Pie

Your choice of fruit pie filling inside crescent dough or sweet brioche bread. Top off with a sprinkle of powdered sugar!

Equipment

  • Pudgy pie iron

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices brioche bread or crescent roll dough
  • fruit pie filling
  • powdered sugar, optional

Instructions
 

  • Rub pudgy pie iron with butter
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread
  • Place one slice of bread, butter side down, into pie iron. If using crescent roll dough, break 2 triangles from roll and then press seams together to create a square. Press into pie iron.
  • Add fruit filling on top of bread / dough
  • Top with other slice of bread, butter side up. If using crescent roll dough, break 2 triangles from roll and then press seams together to create a square. Place on top of filling.
  • Close pie iron and cook over hot coals or fire until both sides are toasted
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar over top if desired
  • Let cool before eating – filling will be very hot!

Notes

White bread can be used as a substitute for brioche.
