Best Luxury Campgrounds in the US
This is a list of some of our favorite luxury RV resorts in the US as well as favorites that other people have recommended to us and are rated highly. All campgrounds on this list have high ratings on more than one website and at least 4.5 star ratings on Google. I have chosen not to list those that only allow Class A motorhomes because I wanted options that work for everyone, no matter what type of camper/RV you have.
I just couldn’t choose between the great options here, so I added one more to my top ten list. These campgrounds have all of the amenities also some great views, activities, a place for your dogs, and are rated very highly by the folks who frequent them.
Top 10 11 Luxury Campgrounds
Bluewater Key RV Resort, Key West, FL
This campground was on the USA Today top 10 list several years n a row. There are 4 levels of luxury to choose from -Basic, Standard, Top of the Line and Over the Top! Basic and standard sites are away from the water, with the more expensive sites on the canal or bay. The resort’s shared amenities include:

Sitting on 40 acres of sagebrush, enjoy views of Red Cliffs, Vermillion Cliffs, and the Kaibab Plateau. Amenities include:

Between Boston and Cape Cod, this luxury campground is great for both adults and kids. This is a family-owned campground that has been around since 1971. I would say this campground is definitely for animal lovers, as there is a petting zoo / barn, horseback riding and a large dog park.

Campground Margaritaville, Auburndale, FL
With a name like Margaritaville, you can be sure that this place will be fun! A great place for adults AND kids with amenities like …. Just an hour southwest of Orlando outside of Lakeland, you’ll be close enough to all the Disney theme parks and attractions. Next to Myrtle Lake, RV sites to choose from at this resort include everything from your standard back-in, full hookup site farther away from the lake to luxury sites which include a tiki hut, outdoor kitchen with smoker and outdoor TV. With planned activities and live music, you may never need to leave the campground. Amenities include:

Set on the shores of Newport Back Bay, this family-friendly resort offers so much to do at the resort and in the area, making it the perfect vacation spot. Besides all of the great amenities, the resort has events scheduled throughout the summer months. Enjoy live music, outdoor movies, arts and crafts, food trucks, fireworks on July 4th ! Located in Creede, Co, at the foot of the San Juan Mountains, Mountain Views at River’s Edge offers spectacular views and amazing amenities. The resort is a nice combination of nature and luxury and offers a beautiful setting with bronze statues, expert landscaping and a stream. Enjoy the local wildlife as well as fishing in the Rio Grande or local ponds or take an ATV ride on the mountain trails. Amenities and area activities include:

Sandy Pines Campground, Kennebunkport, ME
This campground in coastal Kennebunkport is just minutes away from Dock Square where you can enjoy world-class restaurants, shopping or a trip to the beach.

Next to the Virgin River just minutes from Zion National Park, surrounded by the mountains. Zion River Resort is also near Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon North Rim. RV sites range from standard back-in to premium riverside sites. Some of the amenities to enjoy here:

Directly along the French Broad River, this resort has 56 large RV sites with river views and privacy hedges between sites with additional gorgeous landscaping. Two Rivers Landing is close to the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Luxury amenities include:

Verde Ranch RV Resort, Camp Verde, AZ
Camp Verde is one of our favorite spots in Arizona. It is a bit more green and pretty than some other Arizona destinations, in my opinion. It is also close to great places like Sedona, Red Rock State Park, Montezuma’s Castle and Fort Verde. Verde Ranch has everything you could need or want in a campground, and has won the 2024 Campspot award for “#1 campground in the U.S.” They do offer weekly and monthly discounts as well.
